Did Clownstrike take down anything that we wouldn't have been better off without?
Because all I've heard about so far have been advertising networks, airlines, insurance companies, TV stations, car dealerships and some fast-food chains, and I'm just like [ sickos.gif ]
(Yes, I get it that if you were stuck in an airport that probably sucked. Nevertheless, we would be better off without airlines.)
@jwz @Vimar a pretty major GP surgery management system (EMIS) apparently had issues, and a hospital had to postpone some radiotherapy appointments - https://www.royalsurrey.nhs.uk/news/critical-incident-declared-12906/ . Both of these impacted NHS care, so payment wouldn't have been any kind of blocker. And yes I am concerned about radiotherapy being impacted by this because that doesn't sound like something that should be connected to the internet or run a consumer OS
@Vimar And any time someone makes that claim we should ask whether the systems affected involved care, or insurance.
Or was it "out of an abundance of caution".
