Not sure if this is a problem with #Pandoc or #Latex - but it is annoying.
Error producing PDF.! LaTeX Error: Unicode character 🄯 (U+1F12F) not set up for use with LaTeX.
Time to hit the computer with a stuffed penguin until it behaves.
@Edent you need to use xetex instead of latex as engine. Search the doc "--pdf-engine=PROGRAM":
